Notary Publics are empowered to perform marriage ceremonies in the State of Florida.

Marriage Licenses must be obtained in Florida for the Notary to perform ceremony in the state of Florida.  Licenses can be obtained at any courthouse in Florida and you can get married anywhere in the state of Florida.   Notaries can perform ceremonies in the state of Florida only.  Your marriage by the Florida Notary is legal worldwide. 

What you need:

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Photo Identification is required.

• No blood test is required.

• For non-Florida residents:  No waiting period is required.

• For Florida residents only: 
   Either a 3-day wait period or a 4-hour counseling session is required.

• If either party has been divorced in last 6 months,
   a copy of the divorce decree is required.

• The marriage license remains valid for 60 days after date of issue.
• Licenses cost about $90

Where to get the license ?   

You can buy the license at ANY Courthouse in the State of Florida.  Nearest Courthouse locations:

Clerk of Court Marriage License Division Okaloosa County Courthouse Annex 1250 N. Eglin Parkway, Suite B110 Shalimar, FL 32579 (850) 651-7216 Directions:  If you are coming from the West or Northwest, take Highway 85 off of I-10 at Ft. Walton Beach exit to the Okaloosa County Courthouse Annex.  You will pass it on your right in Shalimar.

Circuit Clerks Office South Walton Annex Marriage License Department 25220 U.S. Highway 331 South Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459 (850) 267-3066 Directions: If you are coming from the North or Northeast take Highway 331 off of I-10 to the Walton County Courthouse Annex.  It is about a mile north of the intersection of 331 and 98 on your right.
