Destin, Florida is located on the awesome Emerald Coast on the Gulf of Mexico between Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City, Florida.  

The Emerald Coast is renowned for its warm soft white sandy beaches adorned with sea oats against blue-green crystal clear water.   

Destin and South Walton beaches contain very little coarse coral or shell.  The sand is the consistency of powdered sugar.  The crystal clear water provides excellent diving and snorkeling opportunities right off the beach without a boat.  

Complimenting the Emerald Coast's stunning beaches besides snorkeling and diving are endless other water sports such as parasailing, fishing and all types of boating recreation.

If shopping is your thing, you can shop "till you drop".  The area boasts the most exciting shopping anywhere.  The largest fashion direct mall, Silver Sands Outlet, is at Sandestin.  Downtown Destin features the brand new Destin Commons, anchored by Bass Pro Shop and Belks.
